Game Poster Concept Development - Outer Wilds

This project captures the mysterious and awe-inspiring atmosphere of Outer Wilds through a series of progressively refined poster designs. The goal was to transform a rough initial concept into a polished representation, emphasising information hierarchy and visual storytelling to effectively capture the game’s sense of exploration and cosmic wonder.

The project involved sketching five distinct layout concepts, each exploring different design principles, before selecting the most effective design for further refinement. I progressively improved the chosen concept through three additional iterations, starting with low-quality sketches and gradually refining the composition, colours, and typographic elements until achieving a polished final design. This approach aligned with the assessment’s focus on iteration and design development.
